OUR APPROACH
The educational project, innovative in methodologies and contents, is characterized by a series of activities and paths that make the educational experience in UP SCHOOL wider and more complete than that of traditional schools, unique in every respect.
SMALL GROUPS
All didactic and laboratory activities are carried out in small groups. This allows for greater involvement of each individual child during activities and in interpersonal relationships with their peers and teachers. Each group is followed by an Italian teacher and a native English teacher. This means that children will absorb vocabulary, pronunciations and sounds in a second language through play.
PHILOSOPHY
One hour a week is dedicated to Philosophy. Through dialogue and discussion, the development of critical thinking, argumentation and the logical justification of one’s positions is encouraged. Students are encouraged to think, discover alternative solutions to problems, learn to listen and respect the thoughts of others.
INTERACTION LAB
We give our students the opportunity to connect with a series of artists, directors, designers, actors and musicians through workshops, giving them the opportunity to tell their stories, teach their techniques, developing real projects together. Stimulus, inspiration, development of creativity, collaborative skills and discovery of passions and attitudes are the main objectives of this program.
CODING AND TECH LAB
Through several challenging and fun activities students learn the basics of computational thinking, programming and robotics. Development of logical thinking, design thinking and digital skills are the main aims of our program. We offer students the tools to better face an increasingly connected world.
SCHOOL AND FAMILY
The collaboration and involvement of families during their children’s educational journey is one of the cornerstones of our teaching. We share the work done during the year and discuss each other to ensure that educational goals are achieved while respecting the individuality of each individual child.
ARTS
We believe that artistic languages promote the global development of the child at a cognitive, affective-relational and sensorimotor level. Visual arts and performing arts such as music and dance help develop the ability to express oneself and communicate creatively, acquire a personal aesthetic sensibility, stimulating new languages, sharing and collaboration among students.
PSYCHOPHYSICAL EDUCATION
The practice of yoga, motor activity and aquatics are perfectly integrated into the curriculum. We believe that through these activities children obtain numerous benefits: physical strengthening and emotional balance help to overcome insecurity, fears and shyness and promote the ability to concentrate and relax.
