This article is all about videogames because we wanted to learn more about them. We also really like them and are making a videogame on scratch.

The history of videogames starts in the early 1950s, when some computer scientists began to design simple games and simulations. In the 1960 at M.I.T. (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) lots of people started to play games like tic-tac-toe and Moon Landing. These games were played on an IBM 1560 (a computer) with a punch card.

More and more people started to play games in the 1970s and 1980s, when arcade games and consoles started to have joysticks, buttons and controllers.

From the 1980s video games became a popular form of entertainment and a part of popular culture. The first computer games and online games emerged. These are the fathers of the videogames we play today!
